23 May Lake Greenwood State Park
Lake Greenwood State Park in Ninety Six, SC, is known locally for excellent South Carolina bass fishing, boating, and offers shoreline campsites and nature trails. The camping area provides easy access to the shoreline of Lake Greenwood. 125 paved sites may be used by both RVs and tents. Each site has water and electrical hook-ups and a picnic table. Many paved sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet. All sites are convenient to hot showers and restrooms.
The park was one of 16 built by the CCC and many of the original structures built by the work teams remain standing as fine examples of classic CCC architecture. The history and contributions to all South Carolina State Parks are commemorated in an interactive exhibit at the CCC Museum in the Drummond Center. Come to Lake Greenwood State Park and take a leisurely stroll on the nature trails and enjoy some great South Carolina bass fishing!
