23 May Savannah Valley Railroad Trail
In the late 1800s, the Savannah Valley Railroad connected travelers and goods to Anderson and Charleston. Today, the old railroad connects recreational enthusiasts with the beauty of the Little River & Savannah River areas. This is a trail that is easy to walk, bike or hike. Beautiful scenery along the way makes this one of the most popular trails in the region.
Directions: Barksdale Ferry Rd. to Cemetery Rd. (2.2 miles). Another 9 miles of cleared trail 2.5 miles southeast of Baker Creek State Park.
