TRAILHEAD: 33.88034, -82.36470 0.7 mile loop
It took two tries to find the trailhead for this trail, since it starts near the bathhouse and campground at Campground #2 and there are no signs outside the campground directing you to it. A very pleasant loop walk. We suggest that the park create an alternative access point to this trail – it appears an unofficial “beaten path” is already in place – from the main parking lot near the park office, at the top of the hill nearest the restrooms, not far from the Mountain Bike Trail. That would make it easier for visitors, not just campers, to find and enjoy this loop.
