Master Chef Competition

New to Greenwood during the week of the Masters is the Master Chef competition which will be hosted by the G. Frank Russell Technology Center on Monday, April 3. In partnership with the culinary department of, local chefs will have the opportunity to compete in three categories (appetizer, entrée, and dessert) to have their winning selections featured in a Masters Chef dinner, which will be hosted by the Inn on the Square on Tuesday, April 4. Judges will be local corporate and golf personalities.
The event, which is sponsored by Sysco, features a unique partnership among the G. Frank Russell Technology Center, the Links at Stoney Point, and Inn on the Square. Up to eight chefs will compete in each category (entrees, appetizers, and desserts) at the Technology Center on Monday, April 3.
Following the competition, the winners of each category will be selected to prepare his/her dishes on Tuesday evening, April 4 at a dinner hosted by the Inn on the Square. In addition to the dinner, attendees will have an opportunity to taste wine from LPGA Legend Jan Stephenson’s vineyard.
The public will have an opportunity to purchase tickets to the Masters’ Chef dinner at various ticket outlets, including The Greenwood Area Chamber of Commerce, Bermuda’s at The Links at Stoney Point, Inn on the Square and the Greenwood Visitors Bureau.
